Sizing Your Turbine

Now that you’ve reduced your annual electricity demand as much as possible, it’s time to estimate your electricity use and decide what size of turbine you might need:

1. How much electricity do you use in a year? Look at all the appliances/electrical loads you wish to power with your small wind turbine.
2. What is your peak power requirement? Figure out how much electrical power you will need to use at any given time.
3. What size turbine do you need? Figure out what size of turbine you will need to meet your electricity needs.
