04/29/2008  Project Cost Analysis for 250-MW Blocks Generated by community and Aboriginal Projects

CanWEA has submitted its comments to Quebec’s Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune [Department of natural resources and wildlife] as part of the consultations regarding proposed regulations for two blocks of 250 MW of wind energy from Aboriginal and community projects. CanWEA has intervened on the ceiling price of 9.5 cents, as set forth in the text of the proposed regulations. To this end, CanWEA has asked Hélimax to conduct a specific study of the cost of the community and Aboriginal 10 MW and 25 MW projects.
