Korea-Canada Investment Forum 2010

The Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Invest KOREA, and KOTRA Toronto, Commercial Section of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea cordially invites you to the Korea-Canada Investment Forum 2010 to be held on September 8, 2010 at Sheraton Centre Toronto, Downtown Toronto.
The conference will feature keynote speakers from Invest KOREA, Major Korean OEMs (i.e. Hyundai/Kia, Samsung), 4 Korean major local governments and Free Economic Zone (FEZ) each focusing on specific industries, American Chamber of Commerce Korea (AMCHAM), and from the Director General for Cross-Border Investment from Ministry of Knowledge Economy which governs South Korea’s policies and incentives relevant for Canadian organizations.
World Energy Congress

The World Energy Council organizes a world congress every three years. This congress, the premier international multi-energy forum with exhibitors from the field, is an opportunity for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. It brings together more than 3,500 top world leaders in the field of energy, coming from industry, governments, and international organizations, as well as the media, universities and energy industry associations.

The Utility Wind Integration Group 2010 Fall Technical Workshop will take place October 13-15 at the Loews Le Concorde in Quebec City. This will be UWIG's first meeting in Canada and is being held in partnership with sponsors Hydro Quebec, MSE Power Systems, OSIsoft, GL Garrad Hassan, GENIVAR, Alstom Grid, and CanWEA.
This event was located to recognize UWIG's large Canadian utility membership base, and is co-located with the 9th International Workshop on Large-Scale Integration of Wind Power into Power Systems as well as on Transmission Networks for Offshore Wind Farms. The schedule of events for this workshop includes meetings of the Solar Integration/Distributed Wind, Operating Impacts and Integration Study, Turbine Modeling and Integration Study, and Market Operations and Transmission Policy Users Groups as well as a field trip to the Gaspe Peninsula on October 16. Topics to be discussed at the workshop include:
- Wind Plant Modeling and Power System Operations Developments
- Wind Integration Study Results and Market Design
- Wind Integration on Island Power Systems
- Fossil Fleet Flexibility Improvement
- Developments in Transmission
- IEA Wind Task on Wind Integration
